Zoi-Vasiliki Skaperda was born in Larissa in 1994. She is a graduate of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology with postgraduate studies in Toxicology from the University of Thessaly. Currently she is carrying out her PhD program and works as a researcher in the laboratory of Animal Physiology and Toxicology from the University of Thessaly.

She has received a scholarship for the research program performing in her PhD that has been co‐financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union and Greek national funds through the Operational Program Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, under the call RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE. Her research interests are related to the study of the effects of several foods, contaminants, and xenobiotics on the redox profile in vivo and in vitro. She has co-authored 9 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
