Stamatoula Tsikrika is Chest Physician in Thoracic Diseases General Hospital Sotiria – Covid 19 Referral Hospital in Athens. She holds two Masters of Science, in Public Health from the National School of Public Health and in International Medicine, Health Crisis Management from the University of Athens. Also, she has a Doctorate (PhD) from the University of Athens in the field of Respiratory Medicine. Her research interests cover the epidemiology of chronic respiratory diseases, the development of prevention and intervention programs against tobacco, the effects of smoking on the lungs, as well as smoking cessation and tobacco control policy activities. She has published in Greek and international journals and has co-authored books and educational material within Greek and European programs-educational seminars regarding tobacco cessation and prevention. She has been elected Secretary of Group 6.3: Tobacco, Smoking Control and Health Education 2020-2023 for the European Respiratory Society.
